How to host a Board Game Night

We've heard from fans all over the world that have been having a blast hosting Be A Broadway Star parties, and want to share with you some easy tips to make your own party great!

Be A Broadway Star1. Invite Your Friends
Every great party starts with a great invitation. Why not kick the normal Facebook invite up a notch by sending out invites in the mail! Be A Broadway Star fan Kelly H. suggests creating your own invites that look like Playbills.

2. Decorate
It's time to think about scenic design. Red streamers and old show posters make for great theater-themed decorations. You can also add a red curtain and some theatrical lighting for extra-flair.

3. Prepare some Snacks
Every great party needs some great refreshments. Why not make your snacks Tony-worthy? Serve sparkling grape juice in flutes to increase the elegance. Finger foods are always a winner– especially star-shaped sandwiches which can be made with a cookie cutter. And for dessert? How about some delicious Broadway Brownie Bars!

4. Set the Mood
Invite all of your friends to bring their favorite showtunes over for the party. You can also tune in to the Broadway Showstoppers station on Pandora for all of your showtunes needs! Looking to make things extra-special? Download karaoke tracks of your favorite Broadway hits and put on a show as the perfect Be A Broadway Star warm-up!

5. Pick your Be A Broadway Star House Rules
Customize your Be A Broadway Star experience by adding your own house rules! For example, Corina suggests, "if someone can't do a Make or Break card the rest of the players can play 'rock, paper, scissors' to see who gets to steal it! And the winner gets extra fan cards (but not the extra roll)."

If you're in a rush, you can also try playing the super-fast LIGHTNING version of Be A Broadway Star. Instead of using the board, just use the Make or Break cards. Going clockwise, everyone picks a card and has to complete the challenge in 30 seconds or less. The first player to successfully complete three challenges wins!

6. Become a Broadway Internet Superstar!
Shoot videos and photos of your party and post them to the Be A Broadway Star Facebook page! Who knows, maybe you’ll be the next viral Broadway sensation!

Follow these six easy steps and your Broadway Game Night will be a showstopper!
